VE+75 Online Exhibition

To mark the 75th anniversary of
VE Day the EHS have placed online the information that was due to be on display at the village hall. You can access the exhibition here.

There is a large amount of information to look at so the exhibition will remain online for the foreseeable future.

If your relative from Elham should be included in the exhibition then please contact us at: elhamhistorical@outlook.com
Thank You.

An important role for the Historical Society is to preserve village documents from both the past and the present so that they will be available for future generations. These include records, the parish magazine, parish council minutes, and numerous photographs. Another project will be recording oral histories from residents of the village who have interesting memories to share.

The Society has launched an online database which gives historical details about people, properties and events throughout Elham's rich history.

There is also an opportunity for visitors to take the EHS Virtual Tour of Elham.

We have recently added a PDF document which details the Monumental Inscriptions within St. Mary's Church.

The "Why Is Elham Here?" project is now available on line here. This project was set up to try to determine from archaeological, geographical and archive resources why the village of Elham is here.
